Our next club meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 6th at 1 p.m. The day is also a club fun day and starts whenever you show up to play. Weather permitting of course. The meeting is scheduled to be at the site.

Our December meeting will be this Saturday, December 5th at 1 p.m. The meeting agenda will include nominations for the 2021 board and a few 2021 calendar items.

The annual Christmas Party and Raffle unfortunately will NOT take place this year instead many are planning on coming out early and riding the rails as a club fun day instead

NGLS club members are you looking to get rid of the leftover turkey and trimmings. Come out for a club fun run day at the railroad. Bring friends, family, and bring the leftovers to share. This event is NOT open to the general public.

On Saturday, October 3rd during our regularly scheduled meeting the board and members have decided to have another club fun day on Saturday, November 7th. Come at anytime during the day and stay as long as you like. More details to follow.

The annual summer nights club fun day will be on Saturday, August 29th. Plan on spending the day and into the evening running trains and socializing. Additional details to follow.

Some members have decided to work at the site on Saturday morning to continue on the track in the gray container and laying out the passenger line on the East side. If you are available and can make it out remember to bring lunch and fluids to drink. We are also going to layout the work bench to build the 50' radius switches for the new member container. We will also be preparing the railroad for our annual “Club Night Run” which happens on Saturday, August 29th. This event is open to all club members and invited guests.

A workday is being planned for Saturday, July 18th starting at 8:30 a.m. We have a few projects in mind for the day including dealing with several loads of dirt that have been delivered to the container area. We are also looking at continuing the gray container project, maybe move a switch, and more as always. If you can attend make sure you bring food, water, sunscreen, and a good sense of humor.

North Georgia Live Steamers has decided to Cancel our May 16th public run day. We look forward to seeing everyone out and about in the Fall.

Our third public run day of the season is coming up and normal preparation work is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th has been Cancelled.

We are planning a workday on Saturday, February 29th starting at 8:30 a.m. We will be do track maintenance, ashpit line, and prep work for the new container or at least that is what we are thinking at this point. Make sure you bring power drill, knee pads, water, and a sense of humor for the day. Additional details will follow as we get closer. If you have any questions let us know.

A track building session is being planned at an offsite location in Conyers. Bring electric screw guns with 5/16" drivers for the track screws.
